PENGARUH MODEL LEARNING CYCLE TERHADAP PENGUASAAN KONSEP SISWA PADA MATERI SISTEM EKSKRESI DI KELAS XI IPA SMA NURUL FALAH PEKANBARU

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of Learning Cycle model on
Students Concept Comperehension of the subject maters excretion system in class XI IPA of
SMA Nurul Falah Pekanbaru. This research conducted on April 2014. This research was
quasi experiment the matching only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample of
this research were student of XI IPA1 and XI IPA2 with using simple total sampling
technique. The data was analyzed in the from of t-test. The data where collected by pretest,
posttest, and observations. The mean of N-Gain at experiment class was 0,60 categorized
at medium level, while at control class was 0,49 categorized at medium level. Based on the
result of Uji-t was found there was significant difference between class experimen and class
control. The average teacher activities in the eksperimen class I and II 100% in control
class I and II 100%. The average student’s activity in the experimen class I 96,40%, II
98,20% and in control class I 80%, II 70%. So it can be conduded that there was a
significant effect teacher learning and student’s activity of the subject matters excretion
system in Class XI IPA SMA Nurul Falah Pekanbaru Academic Year 2013/2014
